General practitioners save hours of typing thanks to smart AI assistant

Corilus introduces the CareConnect AI Assistant. This is an innovative digital assistant for physicians to convert consultations into structured reports. The assistant was developed with AI expert Cavell. The goal is to support physicians by following conversations during the consultation and creating notes in real time. The SOAP model is used for this. Thanks to this method, more than 70,000 reports have already been automatically generated, significantly reducing the administrative workload for Belgian general practitioners.

From listening to structured report

CareConnect AI Assistant is seamlessly integrated into CareConnect General Practitioner, the most widely used practice software in Belgium. During the consultation, the AI Assistant listens via an external microphone, displays the conversation in real time and structures the text according to the SOAP model (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan). After the consultation, the physician can review the report, add where necessary and immediately save it to the electronic patient record.

The technology was developed with strict adherence to privacy protection and GDPR regulations. Physicians retain full control over the content of the record.

Collaboration between practical experience and AI expertise

The underlying technology of CareConnect AI Assistant was developed in close collaboration with Cavell, a Belgian pioneer in applied artificial intelligence for healthcare. Cavell specializes in speech-to-text models and medical NLP (Natural Language Processing) specifically tailored to the nuances of medical communication.
